Dee Stortion

Status: Active
Team: Skate Free or Die!
Bio: Dee Stortion was born in a crossfire hurricane...born with a full mowhawk and fists clenched into devil signs. Her parents, who were conservative christian rockers, abandoned her by leaving her on a neighboring tour bus door step. She was raised by a pack of touring british rock gods and in her early years she spent most of her time picking on other children in various cities and humming diatonic scales. She grew up fast, hard and loud. She learned to snarl like a rock-star by snarling at rock-stars. On her 6th birthday, Uncle Keith gave her her first guitar, which she immediately smashed over her cake showering the illustrious list of infamous birthday guests with frosting and initiating her into this Rock and Roll life. On her 7th birthday, Aunti Joan gave her a pair of rollerskates (which she also smashed over her cake) and she found that she could roll faster and hit harder than rock and roll ever intended. Skating empty arenas before soundcheck for years, skating through crowds and whipping adoring fans onto the stage to sing a chorus, body checking skeevy A & R Reps and jumping over heroin overdosed groupies- Dee Stortion has become the blur of dischord on the track that we know today. She gets the goat head tunes blaring, and the metal sign blazing. Long Live Rock and Roller Derby!
